one of my goals for 2016 was to set up my own styled shoot. i had participated in several, but i wanted this one to be my baby. I have loved the show outlander since it premiered in 2015, and knew it would be a great starting place for styled shoot. it's gorgeously shot, the costumes are killer, and it's hella romantic. the biggest struggle for me was finding somewhere in north texas that could even closely resemble the scottish highlands, since the scenery is such a major part of the show. thankfully, i found the aristide- mansfield, which has a wonderfully european vibe, and all the pieces started falling into place from there!
i am so thankful for katie frost weddings, who helped me organize everything! with her help, we put together a killer vendor team that made every piece of my vision come together. the vendor team you put together for your wedding is so important! they can help you turn the average, boring wedding into absolute magic!
i am so proud of what we were able to accomplish, and am already planning my next styled shoot. (it's going to be another TV theme. any guesses?) if you want to see more of this shoot, go check out our feature on brides of north texas!
