sarah + alton || engaged || fort worth botanical gardens

sarah and alton were a dream to photograph! I was actually on drill team with sarah back in high school, so getting to shoot her engagements (and wedding!) was so awesome. we had fun exploring the botanical gardens in fort worth, which is one of my favorite places to do an an engagement session. enjoy their classic engagement session!

chelsea + chris || dallas arboretum || elopement

so we all know that I am terrible about blogging, right? so nobody will be surprised that this elopement is from LAST summer? okay, good.

i was so excited to shoot chelsea + chris's small elopement at the dallas arboretum. it was my first elopement, and the shorter schedule was so nice! did a few getting ready shots, drove to the venue, and knocked out the ceremony, family formals, and bride and groom shots within an hour and a half! (added bonus: it was a cool 100 degree day, so the quick schedule also kept us all from dying of heat exhaustion.)

i hope you enjoy this small glimpse of chelsea + chris's day!

nicole + evan's wedding || paradise cove || grapevine lake ||

nicole and evan's beautiful fall winter was one of my favorites of 2016! these two were high school sweethearts, and they both have the sweetest hearts. their families made me feel so welcome on the wedding day. we had an absolutely perfect day, weather wise, and the whole day ran so smoothly. also, this wedding will forever be my example of why first looks are the raddest. evan was the picture perfect groom, he was so emotional seeing his beautiful bride for the first time. we had time to get all the formals done before the wedding, but i had to steal them away for the incredible sunset after their ceremony.

i also loved having lauren with lauren brandon photography second shoot with me! we met at the revive workshop, and it was so awesome working together.

madison || bridals || kimball art museum - fort worth

the word that best describes madison's bridal session is: persistence. she was in town for the weekend for her bridal shower/bridal portraits, and it was scheduled to rain all day.  we decided to keep her session time, and just hoped for the best! i was driving to our original location in dallas, and it starts pouring. like, can barely see the road type of rain. i call madison, and it's not raining at the location, so we're still going to push through. we get to the venue, and after walking up to the gate, the rain starts. so we huddle under the roof, and pull up the weather radar. it's going to be raining for a good hour, BUT the rain has already finished in fort worth. so we all pile in to our cars, and head to the fort. thankfully, the kimball art museum has beautiful grounds, without a lot of grass, so we were able to keep madison dry, and the dress relatively clean!

(and I think the driving was worth it. this pics are 🔥)
